[VER] Tercera edición del torneo SiGMA Esports Cup en Toronto

The SiGMA Esports Cup is heading to the SiGMA Toronto exhibition. The tournament will make its North American debut during the two-day gaming and technology conference. SiGMA, in collaboration with GMR and EBET, has announced that the third edition of the CS:GO Esports Tournament will take place on June 7 and 8 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto. The four-team LAN event will feature professional teams: The Davenport Panthers, The Jungle, OneT4P, and The Valors will compete for a $7,500 prize pool.

The first place takes a significant prize of 5,000 dollars, while the runners-up take 2,500 dollars each.

Interview with Dubai’s winners in March:

As with the previous edition of the SiGMA Esports Cup, which was held at SiGMA Asia in Dubai last March, the four teams will play a BO1 qualifying phase during the first day. The second day of competition will be played in a BO3 singles elimination stage, with the series leaders building on the first day.

As a surprise, the teams will also be battling for a place in the final of the SiGMA circuit, which will be held as part of the Malta Week exhibition in November. All winners will earn a seat to the Malta event, where they will join previous SiGMA Esports Cup winners from the last two conferences held in Dubai and Malta, for the grand finals and a prize fund of $30,000.

Speaking to SiGMA reporter Yanni Collins in Dubai, at the March 2022 event, last year’s winner, OneT4P, said: “We feel great, my teammates have shown a lot of motivation. SiGMA has done very well, they have worked hard for this tournament, they deserve great recognition.”

The two favorites for the event will be last year’s winners, ONET4P, who recently signed Logan “Voltage” Long from The Pond, and the Davenport Panthers, who currently hold the top spot in ESEA Advanced with a comfortable 7-2 record; they are also closely followed by the Valors, with a 6-2 record. The Jungle also top the ESEA Main with a 9-0 record.
