BC.GAME has launched its online sports betting and casino platform in Ghana following approval from the Gaming Commission of Ghana, adding the country to its portfolio of regulated markets. The platform is now available through its dedicated Ghanaian website, bcgame.com.gh, where customers can access a sportsbook alongside a broad portfolio of online casino games. The Gaming Commission of Ghana regulates and supervises games of chance in the country.
The company said Ghana’s established regulatory framework, highly connected population and strong interest in football and digital entertainment made it an attractive market for expansion.
Localised platform for Ghanaian market
BC.GAME said its Ghanaian operation has been tailored to local users, with several updates introduced as part of the launch. These include clearer platform navigation, more structured customer support information and improved explanations of payment methods and account management processes. The operator has also increased the visibility of its responsible gaming guidance and customer support resources to help users better understand account features and the assistance available to them.
Adrian Chen, Senior Legal Counsel at BC.GAME, described the Ghana launch as “an important step” in the company’s regulated growth strategy.
“Ghana has a well-established regulatory framework, and entering the market in accordance with local licensing requirements represents an important step in BC.GAME’s regulated growth strategy,” Chen said.
Chen added, “Our focus is to operate transparently and responsibly, provide clear information to local users, and ensure that our products and operational processes remain aligned with applicable Ghanaian requirements. We look forward to building a sustainable, long-term presence in the market.”
BC.GAME said the Ghana launch forms part of its broader international expansion strategy, with a continued focus on regulatory compliance, product localisation and sustainable long-term development.
Expanding regulated operations in Africa
The Ghana launch follows BC.GAME’s entry into Nigeria earlier this year after securing a sports betting and casino licence from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority. The operator launched its Nigerian sportsbook and casino platform through the bcbet.ng domain, describing the country as a high-potential market driven by its young, mobile-first population, rising internet penetration and growing demand for digital entertainment and real-time betting experiences.
At the time, BC.GAME Chief Executive Officer Kar Kheng Giam said the company was focused on delivering a user-friendly experience as it expanded into regulated African markets.
“User experience today is closely tied to clarity, consistency and transparency. As we expand into new regulated markets such as Nigeria, we are focused on making the platform easier to understand while continuing to improve how we communicate with our users.”
The company said its Nigeria launch formed part of its wider strategy to expand through regulated markets. BC.GAME also holds a licence in Kenya and operates under an Anjouan licence.
Long-term strategy centred on localisation
Speaking to SiGMA News following the Nigeria launch, Giam said success in Africa requires local relevance, with operators needing to tailor their products, marketing and user experience to individual markets. He also said that as regulatory frameworks evolve, compliance, local partnerships and operational transparency become central to market entry and long-term expansion strategies.
The Ghana launch includes localised platform updates, enhanced responsible gaming guidance and a focus on operating in accordance with the country’s licensing requirements.
