Conversational betting technology provider ChatBet has partnered with betting and gaming software supplier iSolutions to make its messaging-based betting solution available to operators across Africa and other emerging markets.
The agreement will enable operators using the iSolutions platform to integrate ChatBet’s conversational betting technology into their existing sportsbook services. Through the integration, players will be able to search for sporting events, browse betting markets, build bet slips and complete betting transactions using WhatsApp, Telegram and web or in-app chat widgets.
The companies said the partnership is intended to provide operators with an additional way of engaging customers through messaging platforms that are already widely used for everyday communication, while reducing reliance on conventional sportsbook websites and mobile applications.
Integration for sportsbook operators
Under the partnership, ChatBet’s technology will be made available to operators using iSolutions’ iSBets sportsbook platform. The conversational interface allows customers to interact with a sportsbook using natural language rather than navigating menus within an application.
According to the companies, players will be able to discover betting markets, create bet slips and complete betting journeys through messaging platforms and chat interfaces. The technology is designed to work across WhatsApp, Telegram and embedded chat widgets on websites and mobile applications.
ChatBet and iSolutions said they are already working on an initial operator deployment, with further launches expected across the iSolutions network. Neither company disclosed details of the first operator or a timeline for future deployments.
Focus on African and mobile-first markets
The partnership places particular emphasis on Africa, where messaging applications have become a common channel for communication and digital interactions.
The companies said combining iSolutions’ platform infrastructure and operator relationships with ChatBet’s conversational technology would allow sportsbook operators to introduce conversational betting without developing the capability independently.
Josh Swerdlow, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ChatBet, said messaging already serves as the primary digital interface in many of the markets the company is targeting. “In many of these markets, messaging is already the primary digital interface,” Swerdlow said.
“The opportunity is not to force players into another app, but to allow them to discover, engage and transact through conversations they already understand.”
He added that the partnership would make it easier for operators using the iSolutions platform to introduce conversational betting as an additional acquisition, engagement and transaction channel.
Filippo Ceci, Co-Founder and Director of iSolutions, said the company aims to integrate technology based on the requirements of its operator clients. “Our operators drive their own business strategies. Our role is to support those choices with the right technology and the right partners,” Ceci said.
He said conversational betting is suited to Africa and other mobile-first markets and confirmed that the technology would be made available across the company’s operator network.
As operators expand beyond sportsbook offerings, many also provide casino products with various promotional structures. Resources covering top-rated online casino bonuses offer information on common bonus types and promotional features available across licensed platforms.
Builds on earlier BolaBet deployment
The partnership follows ChatBet’s recent deployment with African sportsbook operator BolaBet during the FIFA Club World Cup.
During the tournament, BolaBet customers were able to search for fixtures, explore betting markets, build bet slips and place bets directly through WhatsApp using text messages, voice notes and natural language conversations.
Following the tournament, ChatBet said strong player adoption had encouraged the company to accelerate development of the platform. It announced plans to expand market coverage, introduce deeper conversational journeys and broaden live betting functionality ahead of the new domestic football season, including the return of the English Premier League.
The company also said it intends to make the conversational betting experience available across additional BolaBet markets through further product and platform integrations.
Unlike the BolaBet deployment, which focused on a single operator, the latest agreement with iSolutions is centred on business-to-business distribution. By integrating ChatBet’s technology into the iSolutions platform, multiple operators using the software provider’s infrastructure will be able to access the conversational betting capability.
Companies expand technology offering
ChatBet develops technology that supports conversational betting for licensed operators. Through messaging and conversational interfaces, customers can discover markets, build bet slips and complete betting journeys.
