The Eastern Cape Gambling Board (ECGB) has announced its official endorsement of the upcoming SiGMA Africa summit – due to take place from 03 to 05 March at the Sun Exhibits Grand West in Cape Town.
CEO to the board, R.M. Zwane, wrote to formally express support for the event, highlighting their appreciation of the opportunity to participate in this ‘significant event’.
He acknowledged the “pivotal role that SiGMA plays” in uniting industry leaders and key stakeholders across the gaming and technology sectors, emphasising that the initiative “resonates strongly with the ECGB’s strategic mandate to promote the growth, innovation, and sustainable development of the regulated gaming industry.” As such, he went on to say, the ECGB regards its engagement with SiGMA Africa as an opportunity to reinforce collaboration and knowledge exchange within the sector.
“The ECGB looks forward to contributing to the success of the event and fostering meaningful partnerships that advance the objectives of the regulated gaming industry.”
The ECGB board, which was established in 1997 as part of the Eastern Cape Gambling Act, is committed to promoting a socially responsible industry through regulation, licensing and enforcement, and education. As part of their mission statement, they strive to ensure that the Eastern Cape Gaming industry is conducted ethically and competitively.
