SiGMA Africa 2026 is set to welcome back the Women in Gaming Africa (WiGA) initiative, which works to promote gender equality in Africa’s fast-growing gaming sector. The event will take place at the GrandWest in Cape Town from March 03 to 05 and is one of the highlights of the iGaming calendar. This third partnership between WiGA and SiGMA aims to open more doors for women in the industry, giving them opportunities to connect, develop their skills, and take on leadership roles.
Here’s what to expect and when:
03 March | Day 0
The Official Women in Gaming Africa Award
Presented at the SiGMA Awards, this special category is designed to recognise the significant impact, leadership and influence women have demonstrated within the gaming sector, honouring their contributions to excellence, pursuit of meaningful change and empowerment of sustainable growth across Africa’s iGaming landscape. The prestigious event takes place at Market Hall in the GrandWest from 20:00.
04 March | Day 1
Leaders Lunch from 12:00 to 14:00
In collaboration with iGB Executive, Day 1 begins with an exclusive networking lunch, connecting over 100 distinguished executive leaders for high-level dialogue, strategic connections that set the tone for the days ahead.
05 March | Day 2
Main Stage Panel at 11:02
A highlight of the SiGMA Africa conference, the panel “Who Gets the Seat at the Table” brings five WiGA members from across the continent together to share insight on leadership, growth and the African gaming story. This session will look at gaps in leadership, pay, and decision-making in Africa’s gaming workforce. Industry leaders, Lois Bright, Ekaterina Mayorova, Deniese Chinnappen, Boipelo Lencwe, and Angela Mwelu will discuss ways to open up career paths, support fair pay, and help more women reach senior positions.
The panel offers important insights into the challenges women face in the industry and how to address them. The aim is to help women move from participation to influence and lay the groundwork for lasting leadership in African gaming.

Mentorship Lunch and Roundtable from 12:00 to 14:00
Bringing meaningful conversation and connection to the table, this intimate lunch brings work and leisure together seamlessly. Open to WiGA members and women VIP ticket holders for honest conversation around mentorship journeys, the real challenges women are navigating in our industry, and – importantly – helping shape WiGA’s agenda for the year ahead. Brought to you by Tic Tac Bets.
Happy Hour Networking Drinks from 15:00 to 16:00
Hosted at the Betora VIP Lounge during the SiGMA Expo at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, this exclusive drinks reception is the perfect way to conclude the conference in style. The event is open to all WiGA Members and Platinum ticket holders, offering a relaxed setting to connect, unwind, and celebrate a successful event.
A Catalyst for Change
WiGA is renowned for its commitment to inclusivity and mentorship, bringing together women from across Africa to share knowledge and insights, and to break down the barriers that still exist in leadership and decision-making within the gaming industry. In partnership with SiGMA Africa, WiGA provides women delegates with a unique value proposition, ensuring they not only attend the summit but also benefit from specialised networking, mentorship, and leadership sessions designed to foster career advancement and long-term success.
A key part of WiGA’s presence at SiGMA Africa is its exclusive networking events for WiGA members and SiGMA VIP pass holders. These gatherings give attendees a chance to meet industry leaders and build connections that last beyond the summit.
