Maxim Chertkov, CEO of Vegangster, is featured in SiGMA Magazine Issue 35, released in conjunction with SiGMA Central Europe this November. The piece examines how more than 15 years of hands-on B2C experience shaped a next-generation iGaming platform built for speed, scalability and operational intelligence. In an industry where adaptability defines survival.
The full feature that follows explores how this operator-first mindset evolved into an ecosystem designed to help brands launch faster, grow smarter and stay ahead in an increasingly competitive global market.
Front line lessons
In iGaming, speed and adaptability are everything. Drawing on 15 years of B2C operational experience, CEO Maxim Chertkov built Vegangster to handle the industry’s relentless pace from day one. That history, running brands, solving daily challenges and fighting for market share, shaped Vegangster’s DNA from the start.
“One of the biggest lessons we learned is that success comes from the ability to take calculated risks and move fast,” Chertkov says. “Every day brings new nuances, new shifts and new pressures, so you have to back speed with solid strategic planning and always have a plan B in place.”
For Vegangster flexibility and experimentation are non-negotiable. “No single approach guarantees success. Every market is different, every day brings new challenges and nothing stays static. The only way to consistently move forward is by testing, iterating and adapting.”
Speed and scale
This mindset is embedded in Vegangster’s operational-first design. Since its inception, the platform was built to eliminate friction and give operators the freedom to launch quickly, pivot when needed and scale without slowing down. “Speed, resilience and intelligent risk-taking are at the heart of everything we do,” Chertkov notes.
That operator perspective comes to life through specific tools and workflows designed to handle real-world pressures. “Automated verification speeds up onboarding while keeping compliance intact. AI-powered retention tools enable operators to run campaigns that would normally require entire CRM departments.” Regular updates and continuous feature releases ensure clients can expand into new geographies confidently and manage larger operations with smaller teams.
Ecosystem of solutions
Rather than focusing on any single tool, Vegangster’s strength lies in the entire ecosystem. Operators rely on its content, payments, CRM, affiliate management and more as an integrated whole. “When feedback comes in, we categorise it into three groups, long-term vision, widely needed solutions and unique brand requests,” Chertkov explains. “That mindset comes from our operator background…It helps us bring clarity to priorities and shape solutions that keep our partners competitive in the real world.”
Retention, one of the toughest challenges in iGaming, reflects this same philosophy. “What we saw first-hand is that retention isn’t luck, it’s the result of constant experimentation and finding best practices for specific markets, marketing funnels and acquisition channels” he says. Vegangster equips operators with a wide spectrum of tools, from classic email, SMS and push notifications to in-product triggers like pop-ups and hints, paired with built-in A/B testing and performance tracking. “Our philosophy is simple: retention should always aim for 100%. That goal may be unreachable in practice but it drives us to keep expanding functionality.”
Even user experience gets the innovation treatment. Scroll & Play, inspired by content discovery flows like TikTok or YouTube, creates a seamless entry point into the casino universe, making game discovery feel natural and frictionless.
Setting the tempo
Vegangster also tackles the everyday pain of manual work. Multi-brand management allows teams to roll out changes across all brands from a single back office, while AI support agents handle routine player interactions. “Vegangster provides mechanisms to automate any operational task,” Chertkov says.
“From event chains and auto payouts to AI support agents and anti-fraud tools, the platform lets operators streamline workflows, reduce repetitive work and focus on strategy and growth.”
Vegangster is setting the tempo, giving operators the speed, flexibility and intelligent automation they need to stay ahead of the curve.
