Bet365’s Bogstrand joins DraftKings as EVP and iGaming GM
DraftKings has hired Christian H. A. Bogstrand as executive vice president and general manager of iGaming, adding serious industry know-how to its senior team as the operator continues to grow its casino arm.
Bogstrand is a familiar name to anyone who’s followed the European gaming scene over the last two decades. He has spent years building and leading successful casino operations, giving him a strong grasp of what makes products work across very different markets.
From bet365 to Lucky7 Ventures
Most recently, Bogstrand was CEO of Lucky7 Ventures, running brands including Luckydays, Spinaway, and MagicJackpot. Before that, he spent more than twelve years at bet365, where he rose to head of gaming, placing him right in the middle of one of the most competitive online casino environments in the world.
He also brings experience from Bodog, where he managed the European bingo channel, and from LeoVegas Group, where he worked with the Expekt brand. It is a solid mix of corporate and entrepreneurial experience, exactly the kind of background you would expect DraftKings to look for as it expands beyond its sports-first roots.
Drawn to culture and tech
Announcing the move, Bogstrand said he was impressed by DraftKings’ technology and culture, calling it a company that “scales with purpose.”

In his new role, Bogstrand will oversee DraftKings’ online casino operations, from product strategy to player engagement, across multiple regulated markets. Having run casino businesses in both mature and emerging markets, he is expected to bring a steady hand and a few fresh ideas to the table.
