BGMS Season 4
BGMI was banned in 2022, halting its growth in India’s esports scene. After the ban was lifted in 2023, players resumed competition, teams reassembled, and organisations renewed their involvement. BGMI had regained its position as India’s top mobile esport by 2024 and 2025. The Masters Series became its primary competitive event.
The BGMI Masters Series Season 4 took place from 18 August to 14 September 2025 at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in New Delhi. Featuring a prize pool of ₹1,43,20,000 ($163,920), the tournament included 24 invited teams and 4 teams that qualified through the BGMI Challengers Series. The event attracted attention both at the venue and through online viewership.
The group stages featured competitive matches, with underdog teams challenging top contenders. In the semi-finals, K9 Esports delivered strong performances and advanced to the final round. By the time the Grand Finals began, audience interest had significantly increased.
K9 Esports as unstoppable champions
The final three days of the tournament, held from 12 to 14 September, drew large crowds to the venue and generated enormous online viewership. India’s growing esports scene
Mobile gaming remains a strong segment in India. Indian teams are competing in both domestic and international PUBG Mobile tournaments as a result of BGMI’s ongoing participation. Public opinion is being impacted by the rise of BGMI competitions.
Esports is increasingly viewed as a viable career option, supported by sponsorships, brand partnerships, and audience engagement. The sector faces potential regulatory challenges. However, continued innovation by organisers and sustained audience interest could support BGMI’s long-term development.
