DigiPlus, Bayad team up on player payments in Philippines
DigiPlus Interactive Corp., a digital entertainment company in the Philippines, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Bayad, a bill payment firm, to enhance over-the-counter (OTC) payment options for its customers.
The partnership, formally signed on 8 October, covers players of BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone. It was sealed by key executives from both companies, including Eusebio Tanco, Chairman of DigiPlus; Jasper Vicencio, President of AB Leisure Exponent Inc., a DigiPlus subsidiary; Ray Espinosa, Chairman of Bayad; and Lawrence Ferrer, President and CEO of Bayad.
The agreement takes effect immediately, designating DigiPlus as Bayad’s only gaming partner for OTC cash transactions.
Expanded access through Bayad’s nationwide network
Through the collaboration, DigiPlus customers gain access to Bayad’s wide network of payment centres, including more than 800 Bayad Centre branches and partner outlets located in malls, supermarkets, and convenience stores nationwide.
Bayad is accredited by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as an Electronic Money Issuer (EMI). DigiPlus stated that it partners only with BSP-accredited payment channels to meet the compliance standards of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), ensuring all player wallet transactions are processed through secure and regulated platforms.
Under the initial phase, BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone players can perform cash-ins or deposits at any Bayad branch or partner outlet. Future phases will introduce cash-outs, withdrawals, and access through the Bayad App, further broadening the payment ecosystem available to DigiPlus users.

Commitment to secure and convenient services
“At DigiPlus, our priority is to deliver engaging entertainment while ensuring safe and reliable services for our players,” Tanco said. “This partnership with Bayad provides customers with more secure and convenient ways to manage their transactions, reinforcing our commitment to player protection and dependable service at every touchpoint.”
Meanwhile, Espinosa described the partnership as a step forward in expanding financial inclusion. “We take another meaningful step forward through our partnership with DigiPlus,” he said. “Together, we’re expanding access to digital channels and offering new, engaging, and responsible ways for Filipinos to experience convenience and entertainment made possible by accessible and inclusive financial services.”
Enhancing player experience and support
DigiPlus said that the integration of Bayad’s payment network strengthens its player support framework, which already includes 24/7 customer assistance, over 130 physical BingoPlus stores nationwide, and a surety bond to safeguard player wallets.
According to the iGaming firm, the move aligns with its long-term strategy to combine entertainment with financial security and regulatory compliance.
BSP’s rules on e-wallet links to iGaming
The partnership comes amid a broader regulatory clampdown on online gambling links in digital payment apps.
In August, the BSP ordered all e-wallet providers to remove icons and links to gambling sites. BSP Deputy Governor Mamerto Tangonan said the Monetary Board had approved the measure to ensure that “e-wallet platforms no longer have any connections to online gaming sites.”
Major e-wallet operators in the country, GCash and Maya, both pledged full compliance. The BSP’s order followed concerns raised in a Senate hearing over gambling addiction and the proliferation of illegal gambling sites.
