FanDuel and FanDuel Sports Network have launched a new broadcast feature designed to bring live betting activity directly onto the television screen, as the US sports betting giant deepens its integration between wagering and sports viewing.

The feature, called Bet Tracking, was officially introduced on 16 December 2025 in the United States. It allows viewers to link their FanDuel Sportsbook account to live NBA and NHL broadcasts, enabling them to follow their active bets in real time as games unfold.

Once connected, users can see updates on their wagers without switching between devices. Betting information appears along the bottom and right-hand side of the screen, while the live game action remains central. FanDuel says the aim is to enhance engagement without disrupting the viewing experience.

Wide range of bet types

The feature supports a variety of bet types, from match results to player prop bets, giving fans live updates as the action unfolds on the court or ice. This bet tracking is not switched on automatically. Viewers must choose to activate it, and the on-screen experience can be tailored to individual preferences.

Fans can decide exactly how much betting information they want to see — or opt to watch the game with no betting data at all. Even when enabled, the feature can be turned on and off at any point, allowing viewers to dip in briefly before returning to a traditional broadcast.

FanDuel executives say the idea is to solve what they call the “second-screen problem”, where fans watch games on television while tracking bets on their phones. By bringing that activity onto the main screen, the company believes it can create a smoother, more engaging way to follow both the game and the wager.

“This is about connecting what fans are already doing,” the company said, describing the move as shifting betting from the phone into the living room.

Initial rollout in five US states

The initial rollout covers Ohio, North Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, Missouri and Indiana. These markets were selected because online sports betting is legal and FanDuel Sports Network holds local broadcast rights. Early broadcasts include NBA teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies, along with several NHL franchises.

Viewers can access Bet Tracking via FanDuelSportsNetwork.com, the FanDuel Sports Network app, or through pay-TV providers, direct-to-consumer services and Prime Video credentials. The launch comes around a year after the network rebranded from Bally Sports following its bankruptcy, marking a significant step in FanDuel’s effort to redefine local sports broadcasting.

Executives describe Bet Tracking as part of a broader strategy to blend live content with interactive features, including on-screen odds, exclusive promotions and sportsbook tie-ins.

Major move ahead of prediction market launch

FanDuel reports that in markets where both its sportsbook and regional sports network operate together, the company has seen sustained growth in engagement and betting activity.

Looking ahead, industry analysts say the move also positions FanDuel closer to emerging betting formats, including prediction-style markets, which allow users to wager on real-time outcomes and probabilities rather than traditional fixed odds. While such markets remain under regulatory scrutiny in the US, FanDuel has signalled interest in expanding interactive wagering formats as rules evolve.

For now, the company says Bet Tracking is about enhancing choice. Fans who want betting data can opt in, while others can continue watching uninterrupted, a balance FanDuel hopes will define the next phase of sports broadcasting.
