South Korea-based Jeju Dream Tower’s foreign-only casino posted strong growth in April, with sales rising sharply both year-on-year and month-on-month. The property, operated by Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd, posted strong gains across table games, machines and its hotel business, reflecting reliable demand at the integrated resort.
Casino sales surge in April
Casino sales reached KRW48.84 billion ($33.1 million) in April, up 48.5 per cent from KRW32.88 billion ($$22.3 million) in the same month last year, according to company data released on Monday. Compared with March, sales increased 20.9 per cent from KRW40.40 billion ($27.4 million), showing continued momentum into the second quarter.
Table games remained the main driver of revenue. Income from table games totalled KRW46.50 billion ($31.5 million) in April, showing a 49.4 per cent rise year-on-year. On a monthly basis, table revenue increased 21.3 per cent. The figures emphasise the strong contribution of high-value gaming activity at the property.
Machine revenue also recorded solid growth, though on a smaller base. It reached KRW2.34 billion ($1.59 million) in April, up 33.4 per cent from a year earlier and 14.3 per cent higher than in March.
Hotel business records steady growth
The integrated resort’s hotel division also made progress. In April, hotel revenue was KRW7.38 billion ($5 million), up 3.8 per cent from the same month the previous year. The number increased by 25.4 per cent month over month, suggesting higher occupancy or room prices during that time.
The combined performance of gaming and hospitality operations points to wider activity at the resort, which caters exclusively to foreign visitors in its casino operations.
Strong performance in 2026 so far
For the first four months of 2026, cumulative casino sales reached KRW167.47 billion ($113.5 million). This compares with KRW117.43 billion ($79.6 million) in the same period last year, representing a 42.6 per cent increase.
Table games again accounted for the majority of revenue. Cumulative table game sales rose 43.8 per cent year-on-year to KRW159.44 billion ($107.9 million). Machine revenue for the period totalled KRW8.03 billion, up 23.3 per cent from the previous year.
The data indicates consistent growth across both main gaming segments, with table games continuing to dominate overall performance.
Hotel revenue rises in early 2026
Hotel operations also delivered positive results during the January to April period. Cumulative hotel revenue reached KRW25.41 billion ($17.2 million), up 19.8 per cent compared with the same period last year.
The increase suggests stable demand for accommodation within the integrated resort, supporting the overall business performance alongside gaming operations.
Momentum continues into second quarter
With both monthly and cumulative data exhibiting robust increase trends, April’s results build on the advances seen earlier in the year. The primary driver of total revenue is still the increase in casino sales, especially in table games.
The steady rise in hotel income as well adds to the resort’s performance, indicating balanced growth across its core segments.
Jeju Dream Tower revenue jump
Jeju Dream Tower has approved a KRW110.94 billion ($74.9 million) cash dividend plan following strong earnings from its foreigner-only casino business in 2025. The dividend proposal was approved by the board of Lotte Entertainment.
Earnings from the 2025 fiscal year will determine the distribution. If accepted, it would be among the biggest dividend payments associated with the business’s gaming businesses in recent memory.
