South Korea’s Jeju Dream Tower casino resort operator Lotte Tour Development has approved a KRW110.94 billion ($74.9 million) cash dividend plan following strong earnings from its foreigner-only casino business in 2025.
The decision was announced in a regulatory filing. The dividend proposal was approved by the board of Lotte Entertainment Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Lotte Tour Development that operates the company’s casino business.
The payout will be based on earnings generated during the 2025 financial year. If approved, it will represent one of the largest dividend distributions linked to the company’s casino operations in recent years.
Shareholder approval scheduled for March
The dividend proposal will be submitted to shareholders at the subsidiary’s annual general meeting scheduled for 25 March.
If shareholders approve the plan, the company expects to distribute the dividend the following day.
Under the proposal, shareholders will receive KRW27,735 ($18.72) per share. The dividend record date has been set as 31 December 2025, meaning investors who held shares on that date will be eligible for the payment.
The company confirmed that the dividend will be funded through retained earnings accumulated from previous financial periods.
Strong casino performance in 2025
The dividend decision follows a year of strong operational growth at Jeju Dream Tower, the integrated resort that houses the company’s foreigner-only casino.
According to company figures, the resort recorded casino sales of KRW476.6 billion ($321.7 million) for the period from January to December 2025.
This represented a 61.8 percent increase compared with the previous year, reflecting higher visitor numbers and improved gaming activity.
The growth highlights the continued recovery of South Korea’s tourism sector and the increasing role of international visitors in the country’s casino market.
Foreign-only casinos are common in the country, as local citizens are generally prohibited from gambling at most casino venues.
Jeju’s role in company’s growth
Jeju Dream Tower is one of the largest integrated resort developments in South Korea and a central asset for Lotte Tour Development.
The property opened in December 2020 and is recognised as the tallest building on Jeju Island.
The complex includes the Grand Hyatt Jeju, a large-scale hotel that forms part of the integrated resort development. In addition to accommodation, the property features a foreigner-only casino, multiple restaurants, retail outlets and entertainment facilities.
The resort has become a key destination for international visitors travelling to Jeju Island. Its casino operations contribute a major share of revenue for the group.
Focus on sustained tourism demand
The rise in casino revenue during 2025 indicates strong demand from overseas tourists visiting Jeju Island. Industry observers have noted that improved travel connections and regional tourism growth have helped support the market.
For Lotte Tour Development, the performance of the Jeju resort continues to drive financial results and support shareholder returns.
If approved later this month, the dividend payment will mark a significant distribution to shareholders following the resort’s strong year of casino activity.
