New Jersey reports total gaming revenue of over $590 million for March 2026
The total gaming revenue for casinos, racetracks, and their partners in the state of New Jersey was $596.4 million in March 2026, as shown through figures published by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).
Total gaming revenue
Detailing the statistics further, the DGE stated that this total revenue reflects a 9.2 per cent growth when compared to the $546.1 million total which was reported for March 2025.
It continued that the year-to-date total gaming revenue was $1.7 billion through March 2026, which it said reflects a 7.5 per cent growth when compared to the $1.58 billion reported for the prior year-to-date period.
In terms of taxes, the DGE said that total gross revenue taxes were $84.7 million in March, bringing the year-to-date total through March to $246.1 million.
Casino revenue
Breaking down the sections contributing to March’s total gaming revenue, the DGE said that the casino win for the nine Atlantic City casino hotels was $236.7 million. It stated that this figure reflects an increase of 2.5 per cent when compared to the $230.9 million reported for March 2025.
The year-to-date casino win through March was reported to be $652.9 million, an increase of 1.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.
iGaming revenue
Internet gaming win for the casinos and their partners was reported to be $272.1 million for the month, amounting to a growth of 11.6 per cent in comparison to the $243.9 million reported in the previous year.
The DGE stated that the year-to-date iGaming win was $782.5 million, which was a growth of 16.3 per cent against the $673.3 million from the prior year-to-date period.
Sports wagering gross revenue
The DGE said that the sports wagering gross for the casinos, racetracks, and their partners for March was $87.6 million, reflecting an increase of 22.8 per cent from $71.3 million for March 2025.
The year-to-date growth in this case, when compared to the previous year, was an increase of 0.5 per cent. The DGE’s figures show that the year-to-date sports wagering gross revenue through March 2026 was $268.4 million, while for the previous year it was $267.1 million.
Online sportsbooks were shown to make up most of the reported sports wagering revenue in comparison to retail sportsbook lounges. Online figures for March 2026 amounted to $84.4 million, while lounge figures amounted to $3.2 million.
Growth in New Jersey’s gaming sector
Looking back at the DGE’s figures shows that the industry section which generated the most money was iGaming, which also had the best year-to-date performance compared to the same time in 2025.
The second-highest performing section was casino, followed by sports wagering. Although sports wagering had the lowest gross revenue for the month out of the three reported sections, it also had the highest increase when compared to March of the previous year.
With that said, as previously reported by SiGMA News, New Jersey voters remain divided on the issue of casino expansion beyond Atlantic City. However, these results as reported by the DGE indicate that the gaming industry in New Jersey continues to grow steadily, and iGaming’s standing in the state seems to stand out especially.
