The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported total gaming revenue of $595 million for April 2026, marking a 6.49 per cent increase from the same month last year. Growth in online casino gaming and higher sports betting revenue helped drive the overall rise across the state’s regulated gaming market.
Among Pennsylvania’s land-based casinos, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course recorded the highest revenue for the month. The venue generated $109 million in April, up 11.58 per cent year on year.
Online casino gaming leads growth
Online casino gaming continued to be the strongest contributor to overall market growth during April. Internet casino games generated gross revenue of $245.8 million for the month.
The figure represented a 7.94 per cent increase compared with the $227.7 million reported in April 2025. The online segment includes digital slot games, table games and poker offered through licensed operators in the state.
The rise in internet gaming revenue reflects the continued expansion of Pennsylvania’s online gambling market, which remains one of the largest regulated iGaming sectors in the United States.
Retail slots post steady increase
Revenue from retail slot machines also increased during the month. Pennsylvania casinos generated $206.7 million from slot machines in April, compared with $203.1 million in the same period last year.
The increase of 1.76 per cent came alongside a rise in the number of slot machines operating across the state. Casinos reported 24,856 active slot machines in April 2026, up from 24,363 machines a year earlier.
Slot machines remained one of the largest individual revenue sources for Pennsylvania’s land-based casino industry during the month.
Table games revenue slips slightly
Retail table games produced mixed results in April. Revenue from table games reached $78.7 million for the month.
Although the latest figure represented a 2.36 per cent change compared with the previous year, revenue was lower than the $80.6 million reported in April 2025.
Table games include blackjack, roulette, baccarat and poker offered at casino properties across the state.
Sports betting revenue jumps despite lower handle
Pennsylvania’s sports betting sector reported a decline in total betting handle during April, but taxable revenue increased sharply.
The state recorded a sports wagering handle of $641.6 million during the month, down 9.84 per cent from $711.6 million in April last year.
Taxable sports betting revenue increased to $59 million even though total bets were lower. The amount exceeded the $42.5 million earned in April 2025 by 38.6 per cent.
Hollywood Casino tops state rankings
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course remained the highest revenue-generating casino property in Pennsylvania during April.
The casino’s $109 million revenue total placed it ahead of other operators in the state’s competitive gaming market. The year-on-year increase of 11.58 per cent also outpaced overall statewide growth.
Pennsylvania continues to rank among the leading regulated gaming markets in the United States, supported by a combination of retail casinos, online gaming and sports betting operations.
