PhilWeb Corporation has brought Hann Online live in the Philippines, activating a regulated digital gaming platform tied to HANN Casino Resort in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. The platform went live on 5 February and operates within the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) regulatory framework, extending the resort’s gaming operations into an online environment.
The launch places PhilWeb at the operational and technical core of Hann Online, following a strategic partnership disclosed in mid-January under which the listed technology provider is responsible for the platform’s design, deployment, and ongoing systems support. HANN Casino Resort, operated by Hann Philippines Inc., retains oversight of regulatory compliance as part of its broader PAGCOR-authorised gaming activities.
According to PhilWeb, Hann Online functions as a digital extension of the Clark-based integrated resort rather than a standalone gaming entity. The platform offers online casino content supported by PhilWeb’s backend infrastructure and electronic gaming systems, alongside payment options that include GCash, Maya, and QRPH. Customer support is available around the clock, and the platform incorporates know-your-customer checks and responsible gaming controls in line with Philippine regulatory requirements.
Partnership structure and roles
The foundations of HANN Online were set out in a partnership announcement dated 15 January, when PhilWeb confirmed it had entered into an agreement with HANN Casino Resort to support online gaming operations. Under the arrangement, PhilWeb provides operational management, technical services, and platform performance support, drawing on its experience as a long-standing provider of PAGCOR-regulated electronic gaming systems.
Hann Philippines Inc., the resort operator, continues to hold responsibility for ensuring that gaming activities meet applicable regulatory standards. The separation of roles is consistent with a model seen in the Philippine market, in which licensed resort operators work in conjunction with ‘accredited technology providers’ to offer online or electronic games under PAGCOR’s supervision.
According to PhilWeb, their Hann Online system was created, developed, and implemented in just two weeks, and the infrastructure was designed to be compatible and compliant from the beginning. They claim that the system provides users access to over 3,000 online casino games through their scalable infrastructure.
Regulatory context in the Philippines
Likewise, online electronic gaming is within the ambit of PAGCOR in the Philippines, which requires that gaming operators as well as the providers of gaming services apply and secure the necessary licenses or accreditations. PhilWeb is accredited by PAGCOR as a provider of electronic gaming systems.
Hann Casino Resort, meanwhile, has been operating under the authorisation of PAGCOR and conducting business as a land-based casino within the Clark Freeport Zone. By introducing Hann Online, it expands its online gaming operations while still linked to the current regime that covers gaming operations in the country.
Similarly, PAGCOR’s approach to regulation highlights aspects such as player verification, data protection, and responsible gaming features, all of which are incorporated into its systems. According to PhilWeb, this has been incorporated throughout all levels of the Hann Online platform to ensure that it meets the same levels as for regulated gaming activities in the country.
Corporate backdrop
Hann Online stock exchange public offering happens in an interesting time characterised by an observable move of ownership at PhilWeb, which transpired close to the end of 2025, where an agreement has been made between Gregorio Araneta Inc., that agrees to surrender controlling ownership of 57% of the company, to Nexora Holdings Inc. and Velora Holdings Inc., for a consideration of PHP 1.8 billion (or $31 million), outlined in two tranches.
Although the process of ownership transition is a constituent aspect of the corporate developments of PhilWeb, the launching of the Hann Online is a practical operational development for the company that signifies the entry of the entity into the field of supporting brand-related online casino gaming that is connected to integrated resort operators.
Expanding regulated digital gaming
PhilWeb has a long history in the Philippine gaming sector, having worked with PAGCOR-regulated electronic gaming and betting services for more than two decades. The rollout of Hann Online reflects how that experience is being applied to newer digital formats as resort operators look to complement land-based gaming with online offerings.
Hann Casino Resort is one of the biggest integrated resorts in Clark. The expansion to include the online platform means they will now have a larger presence. The launch of Hann Online puts this partnership firmly in a digital and regulated space in the Philippines.
