SavageTech has signed a partnership agreement with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) to bring its avatar-led gamification technology to operators using the GiG platform.
The deal will make SavageTech’s gamification engine available as an overlay across sportsbook and casino products already running on GiG’s infrastructure. The system doesn’t function to replace existing gameplay. Instead, it sits alongside it, adding a continuous engagement layer that players interact with over time.
SavageTech focuses on what it describes as a meta-game, where player activity feeds into a broader progression system rather than being treated as isolated betting sessions.
Speaking exclusively with SiGMA News, Tom Jang Lemke, CEO & Co-Founder of SavageTech said of the partnership, “Ever since winning the start-up pitch competition at SiGMA Asia in June, SavageTech has gained significant recognition. It had long been a personal goal of mine to secure a win for the team, and achieving it marked an important milestone for us.
“Our next major step is our partnership with the Gaming Innovation Group. For a company like ours, being recognised as a leader in user engagement is truly meaningful. Becoming part of the GiG ecosystem opens new opportunities for growth, and I could not be prouder of our team for developing such strong and innovative technology.”
Avatar-led system built around progression
SavageTech’s product is built around a player avatar that follows activity across the platform. Players build status over time by completing missions, unlocking items, levelling up, and appearing on leaderboards.
The mechanics will be familiar to anyone who plays mobile games. Here, they have been adapted for regulated betting environments to give players something to return to, not just something to place a bet on.
“GiG is a tier-1 platform provider with a strong track record of innovation,” said Lemke, “Together, we’re enabling operators to launch a truly modern gamified layer, anchored by a customisable avatar, that makes the player experience more engaging, personal, and rewarding.”
Designed for integration
From GiG’s side, the partnership centres on expanding the range of engagement tools available to operators on its platform. SavageTech’s gamification layer will be made accessible to GiG partners as an additional product capability, allowing operators to introduce avatar-led progression mechanics alongside their existing sportsbook and casino offerings.
James Coxon, Chief Operating Officer at GiG, said the collaboration reflects the company’s focus on adding differentiated content that supports operator performance in regulated markets.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to bringing the strongest and most innovative content into the GiG ecosystem,” Coxon said.
“By integrating SavageTech’s avatar-led gamification layer, we are continuing to deliver on our platform strategy to give partners access to differentiated engagement tools that enhance the player journey, support brand differentiation, and drive long-term loyalty and value across regulated markets.”
Momentum following SiGMA Asia pitch win
The partnership follows a period of increased visibility for SavageTech in 2025. Earlier this year, the company won the SiGMA Asia Startup Pitch in Manila after a live pitching session judged by industry figures.
The win came with a prize package aimed at supporting the company’s next phase of growth, including marketing support, cloud credits, and access to technical and commercial mentorship.

SavageTech is expected to showcase the gamification layer to operators later this year, with live demonstrations planned at major industry events. The company says the technology is designed to work across different betting verticals and markets, giving operators flexibility in how the system is configured and presented to players. For GiG partners, the integration opens up a new way to experiment with game-led features without altering their core betting products.
