Following its recent feature in Issue 34 of SiGMA Magazine, the Responsible Gaming Foundation (RGF) continues to take centre stage in promoting player safety and awareness, this time through a new collaboration with SiGMA in support of European Safer Gambling Week 2025 (ESGW), taking place from 17-23 November.
The initiative reinforces a shared commitment between RGF and SiGMA to advocate for responsibility, transparency and player well-being across the rapidly evolving global iGaming industry. As gambling markets expand and technology reshapes how players engage, this partnership highlights the vital role of education and awareness in creating sustainable gaming ecosystems.
Elevating responsible gaming during European Safer Gambling Week
SiGMA continues to champion responsible gaming by aligning with European Safer Gambling Week (ESGW), an annual initiative organised by the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) to promote safer gambling and player protection across Europe. This year’s edition aims to bring together operators, regulators, technology providers, support organisations and experts to foster awareness, share best practices and engage citizens on safer gambling.
Building on the success of 2024, the 2025 event will feature workshops and discussions aiming to provide practical guidance on safer gambling, showcase innovative tools for player protection and explore the latest developments in regulation and research.
Through its global platform, SiGMA helps amplify these efforts, integrating responsible gaming discussions into its conferences, digital channels and publications. By collaborating with RGF, SiGMA ensures that ethical practices, consumer protection and industry accountability remain central to iGaming’s growth, while empowering players and operators alike to engage safely and responsibly.
A shared mission
SiGMA’s partnership with the Responsible Gaming Foundation reflects a long-term vision to ensure that growth within iGaming is balanced with ethics and accountability. Over the years, SiGMA has worked closely with regulators, operators and advocacy groups to spotlight responsible gaming as a cornerstone of industry development.
By supporting organisations like the Responsible Gaming Foundation, SiGMA helps amplify the message globally, ensuring that as the industry grows, trust, fairness and player protection remain top priorities.
The RGF’s work extends beyond advocacy, developing initiatives that encourage operators and affiliates to embed responsible gaming principles into their platforms and marketing practices. By partnering with SiGMA, RGF extends their platform to reach an even wider international audience, bringing its message of safer gambling to new regions and stakeholders.
Ongoing conversation
The dialogue around responsible gaming continues to gain momentum, with industry leaders, regulators and operators increasingly recognising that growth in iGaming must be matched with robust player protection and ethical practices. SiGMA’s collaboration with the Responsible Gaming Foundation highlights the ongoing commitment to fostering safer and more sustainable gaming environments, where technological innovation goes hand in hand with integrity and accountability.
The discussion will continue in Rome, where from 03-06 November, SiGMA Central Europe 2025 will bring together thousands of delegates to celebrate, learn and contribute to a safer, smarter iGaming industry.
