At SiGMA Central Europe 2025, we raised the bar with the level of sports celebrity collaborations. The strategic intersection between high-level sport and the global gaming community has an opportunity to promote its attractiveness to trade partners. The Summit was hosted at the Fiera Rome, from 03-06 November 2025, and it generated consistent attention from delegates wanting to see some of the sporting world’s most recognisable personalities representing the leading iGaming brands. Increasing visibility of exhibitors, increasing engagement among delegates, and contributing a level of prestige to the Summit as a learning forum with significant commercial collaboration.

A stage for global sports icons

The show floor experienced continuous activity around booths supported by high-profile ambassadors. These athletes’ gifts brands: storytelling leverage, audience credibility, and a premium layer of engagement that extended deeply into both B2B and B2C stakeholder groups.

Kamaru Usman, backed by MelBet, emerged as one of the most powerful personalities at the event. As a former UFC Welterweight Champion, Usman possessed an undeniable aura of professional discipline and competitive stature.

For MelBet, his involvement meant the ultimate alignment with top-tier performance and global recognition, supporting the brand in building trust and reinforcing its connection to the worldwide combat sports community.

A high-impact trio for SPRIBE

At the Summit, SPRIBE completed one of the most expansive ambassador activations. The company featured UFC champion Alex Pereira, UFC featherweight Diego Lopes, and cultural figure Nina Drama. Pereira garnered significant media attention, and his notable size offered those present an authentic display of power and fighting tactics.

Lopes brought a fresh energy that resonated with audiences who follow emerging sports talent, while Nina Drama expanded SPRIBE’s engagement footprint through lifestyle appeal and diversified audience reach. Together, they delivered significant added value to SPRIBE’s on-site positioning.

1xBet’s football presence

1xBet enhanced its exposure through Luis García, the famous former Liverpool, Barcelona, and Spain midfielder. García is known tactically and for his precision on the pitch, and is thought to be both a well-known figure and someone who continues to be respected in European football circles. Seeing him in partnership with 1xBet demonstrates the company’s commitment to understandable reliability and heritage, and reflects strategic brand partnerships, which attract delegates to the booth. García’s name, image, and presence embody an impressive symbol of trust and respect within the industry.

Betsson’s notable representation

Betsson chose to engage in a partnership with yet another iconic sports figure, Francesco Totti, an eminent figure in Italian football. His name alone drew interest and crowds to the Betsson booth throughout the Summit. The Betsson brand is connected to sophistication, elegance and claims of quality, presence in the Italian market and tradition, and Totti further enhances this commitment. Meeting Totti as an attendee is likely a memorable moment that engendered brand loyalty and added value to the overall event experience for delegates.

Building long-term value across the four days, the presence of these sporting ambassadors also created the scene at the Fiera Rome, allowing Exhibitors to strengthen their customer journeys and capitalise on impactful brand-monument moments that resonated with the audience.

Not only did their participation enhance the overall attraction of the event, but it also reinforced the emerging strategic role that athlete partnerships represent for the iGaming industry. These types of partnerships harness authenticity, community engagement, and cross-market appeal to create major differentiators as well as growth opportunities for the industry.

SiGMA Central Europe 2025 exemplified the powerful convergence of sport and gaming. It demonstrated how brands can extend their market outreach, affirm their market identity, and establish deep and meaningful connections with a global audience. The success of this event is something to be proud of as an industry and an obvious indicator of future potential.
