Pragmatic Play can now operate in the Greek market after obtaining a Type A1 supplier license from the Hellenic Gambling Commission.

The Type A1 license will allow Pragmatic Play to strengthen its position in the Greek market, after already forming partnerships with Kaizen Gaming and Novibet’s Greek operation. The provider will join the likes of Bet365 and Betsson, which have also been licensed to operate in Greece this year.

Pragmatic Play’s Chief Compliance Officer, Sheriff Khamoura, said: “We are thrilled to take a crucial step in the Greek market by receiving this A1 License. This is a great opportunity for us to continue delivering our expanding product offering to Greek operators.”

The announcement comes after Bhotest Maheshwari, Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Pragmatic Play, discussed how gamification is essential in the gaming vertical last month. Maheshwari also detailed how the company’s win-loss promotions paved the way for success in slots and live casinos.

“It’s no secret that just having a good slot offer isn’t going to work anymore, and what really sets the amazing providers apart from the masses is the extras,” he begins.

“A major development in recent years has been the advancement of gamification tools, a collection of player engagement solutions that can be added to any gaming session without detracting from the actual gaming experience.”

Pragmatic Play’s portfolio is unrivalled when it comes to diversity and depth of quality. Currently, the multi-product portfolio includes up to 5 new slot titles per month, as well as an impressive range of live casino and bingo games, all available through a single API. Some of Pragmatic Play’s most popular live games include games like Mega Wheel, Blackjack Azure, as well as several fun roulette variants. Greek players will now be able to enjoy popular titles like Fruit Party 2, Sweet Bonanza, and Wolf Gold, while also sampling new releases like YumYum Powerways and Chilli Heat Megaways.

The provider’s recent license acquisition is just one of many important moves Pragmatic Play has made to expand its presence in Europe. Last year, the company struck deals with major operators, most recently teaming up with Planetwin365 to increase its presence in Italy. Pragmatic Play has also recently struck a deal with Spanish gambling brand Codere and Dotworkers to expand its influence in the Latin American market.
