5 key findings from latest SiGMA Europe Market Report

Shirley Pulis Xerxen

The European gaming market has demonstrated exceptional resilience and growth. The latest SiGMA Market Report, published in partnership with MECN, reveals that total market capitalisation has reached €79 billion, marking a substantial 14.3% increase from the previous year’s €69.1 billion. The SiGMA Market Report provides insights across 4 major European markets, namely Sweden, the UK, Spain, and Germany. Five things stand out: the market’s big number, Zeal’s growth, Super Group’s jump, the mobile casino boom, and AI becoming a must. Here’s what the numbers and trends say.

SiGMA Market Report October 2025 info

1. €79 billion market value – up 14.3% in a year

The sector hit €79 billion in total market cap this year. Last year, the value stood at €69.1 billion. That’s a 14.3% climb, which is significant for a region with all kinds of market rules and competition. The average company market cap also grew, from €4.94 billion in 2024 to €5.64 billion in 2025. This is a sample that includes firms from Germany, Sweden, Spain, and the UK. Names like Flutter, Evolution, Entain, OPAP, Super Group, FDJ, Betsson, Zeal, Better Collective, and Kambi all form part of the analysis. Market cap is up for some, down for others, but the overall sector added €9.9 billion in a year. That tells its own story.

2. Zeal with best growth in the sector

Plenty of companies saw swings, but Zeal takes the prize for best growth in the report. Its market cap moved from €0.80 billion in 2024 up to €1.09 billion in 2025, making for a 35.7% increase. Not many companies in the sector pulled off that kind of expansion. Even in share prices, Zeal saw a 6% gain in just a three-month window during the report, while many others were flat or down. Not the biggest player by size, but it led the pack for positive direction.

3. Super Group’s leap

Super Group had a huge change in position. In 2024, it was worth €1.70 billion. One year later, that number jumped to €5.68 billion. That increase put it right up among the second group of top gaming firms, along with OPAP and FDJ. The only bigger group in terms of size features Flutter and Evolution. Super Group also topped all firms in share performance for the snapshot, posting a 10% rise in just three months. Market developments like these shift benchmarks for everyone watching.

4. Mobile casino showing fastest growth

What’s growing fastest? Mobile casino. When surveyed, analysts and industry insiders put mobile casino above mobile betting, live betting, and other new product types. Last year mobile betting and live casino were on top. Now, mobile casino wins for predicted growth and focus. Operators are shifting budget and product to catch up here. This growth call is backed up by strong user trends and market studies from last quarter. The next twelve months are set to drive more money and player volume on mobile casino than any other area, say the reports.

5. AI, from extra to core

Artificial intelligence isn’t an add-on anymore. It’s shifting to core business for gaming firms in Central Europe. AI was highlighted as a top trend in the last two SiGMA market reports—not as just a future idea, but for current use. Operators are using AI for service automation, marketing, compliance, and personalisation. Reports show that AI is now right behind mobile as a competitive priority. This isn’t about experiments—firms are running AI tools at scale, in customer journeys and risk monitoring, to keep up with market gains and regulation.
