Record contribution to sport in Entre Ríos
The IAFAS detailed that contributions come from various sources within the gambling sector. Physical casinos, online casinos, betting houses, and lottery games have consistently contributed to Foprode. This fund is essential for financing sports projects, infrastructure, and activities that promote citizen participation in sport. Transparency in the management of these resources is a priority for the institution, which publishes a monthly breakdown of the amounts delivered to each beneficiary entity.
Distribution and transparency in contributions from gambling income
Of the 10 months considered, only April, June, August, September, and October recorded contributions. IAFAS delivers a monthly breakdown of the amounts given to each beneficiary entity, guaranteeing transparency and public access to information. The highest contribution was recorded in October, amounting to $292,104,165.35, while April saw the lowest at $41,011,338.62. This variability mirrors the nature of income and gambling regulations, which are influenced by factors such as seasonality and economic activity.
The IAFAS allocates resources not only to sport, but also to the Ministry of Economy, the health sector, social development projects, initiatives in favour of homemakers, the Provincial Security Fund, municipalities, the Independent Theatre, and the Audiovisual Autonomous Institute. The institution promotes social responsibility and responsible gambling, aligning its actions with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, IAFAS drives campaigns for responsible gambling and environmental care, reinforcing its commitment to the local community.
Sport is one of the main tools for social inclusion in Entre Ríos. IAFAS contributions enable the financing of tournaments, sports schools, infrastructure, and activities that promote citizen participation. Furthermore, Foprode collaborates with clubs, associations, and sports organisations to encourage the practice of different disciplines.
Transparency in resource management ensures that benefits reach those who need them most
IAFAS promotes responsible gambling through campaigns and activities that raise awareness in the community about the risks of pathological gambling. The organisation drives green initiatives, such as installing solar panels in lottery halls, recycling and redistributing resources, and taking actions that support the province’s commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development. The sustained growth of contributions from the gambling sector to social and sports entities in Entre Ríos is a trend that appears to be consolidating.
