The sports streaming platform DAZN has announced a strategic partnership with ADI Predictstreet, a prediction market platform licensed in Gibraltar, to integrate real-time forecasting into live sports broadcasts.

Integration of prediction tools into streaming services

The deal involves ADI Predictstreet, the first prediction market platform to obtain a European licence of this type in Gibraltar. Shortly after its launch, the platform became an official partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The partnership aims to create a new fan-engagement format by integrating prediction tools directly into sports broadcasts.

According to the companies, ADI Predictstreet’s functionality will be embedded across DAZN’s ecosystem, including live streams, match replays, news sections and interactive fan zones. Users will be able to not only watch matches but also participate in forecasting events, using analytics, collective audience insights, and historical data.

Shay Segev, the CEO of DAZN, said this partnership is part of the company’s strategy to change how sports content is delivered. “By working with ADI Predictstreet, we can add real-time prediction to the viewing experience, turning analytics and audience opinion into a key part of how fans engage with major sporting events. The FIFA World Cup 2026 will serve as a catalyst, and our platform will be the engine. This is an important step in changing how fans experience sport.”

Dimitrios Psarrakis, CEO of ADI Predictstreet, added: “By combining DAZN’s reach with ADI Predictstreet’s real-time participation layer, we are transforming fans from spectators into active participants. This is not just an evolution of engagement, it is the creation of a new category where technology, collective intelligence and global events intersect at scale.”

First prediction market with a European licence

ADI Predictstreet positions itself as a platform where users can make forecasts using statistical models, algorithms, and historical data. The project obtained a gambling licence in Gibraltar, granted via an accelerated process. According to Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner Andrew Lyman, the licence was approved by the Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry, Nigel Feetham, following a due diligence process.

The speed of the approval has attracted attention from the media and industry observers. The Norwegian investigative outlet Josimar noted that in other jurisdictions, such as Malta and the Isle of Man, similar licences usually take several months to process. Gibraltar’s authorities said the criticism was overblown and that the faster process did not mean less regulation.

Minister Feetham said the interest in the project reflects the growing relevance of prediction market platforms, adding that excessive caution could drive innovative companies to other jurisdictions. He described the sector as a potential source of economic growth.

Future development of ADI Predictstreet

ADI Predictstreet officially launched on 9 April 2026, shortly before announcing its partnership with FIFA. The tournament is seen as a key platform for scaling the product and attracting a broad audience. The platform uses historical FIFA data, which, according to the developers, is is intended to improve forecast reliability. Users can predict not only match outcomes but also a range of statistical indicators, from total goals to individual player performance. The project is built on ADI Chain, a blockchain infrastructure designed to process transactions in real time. It is designed to ensure transparency and scalability, particularly during peak demand at major sporting events.

ADI Predictstreet is entering the market amid strong interest from the gambling industry and increased scrutiny. Its future development will depend not only on user demand but also on the resilience of its regulatory and operational model.

New monetisation models for sports platforms

While the integration is timed ahead of the 2026 World Cup, the partnership is not limited to the tournament. ADI Predictstreet is expected to expand across DAZN’s broader sports portfolio, including major leagues and international competitions.

Platforms such as DAZN, ESPN and Amazon Prime Video have increasingly introduced interactive features, including real-time statistics, alternative broadcasts, polls and prediction tools.

Industry observers suggest that these developments could reshape the sports media landscape by increasing user engagement and opening new monetisation opportunities. The use of data-driven, participatory prediction tools may become a standard feature of future digital sports broadcasts.
