Pragmatic Play Sports is stepping up its esports betting game with a new partnership with Data.Bet, and it’s one that could give operators a serious edge in one of the fastest-growing entertainment markets around. The agreement puts more than 30 esports titles at Pragmatic Play’s fingertips and hands operators the tools they need to serve a new wave of bettors who thrive on live action and dynamic odds.

A timely power move into esports

The tie-up with Data.Bet could not come at a better time. Esports wagering is booming, and the appetite for fast, reliable betting experiences shows no sign of slowing down. With this deal, Pragmatic Play Sports gains access not only to top titles but also to Data.Bet’s tech extras, including advanced analytics, customisable widgets, real-time scoreboards and low-latency live video.

That means fans of Counter-Strike, Dota 2, EA Sports FC, Valorant and League of Legends will see a slicker, more immersive product, and with more titles on the way over the next year, the offering will only get bigger.

In a recent press release, Otto Bonning, Data.Bet’s head of sales, said of the partnership: “This is a long-term alignment where we will grow in the esports space together and deliver a strong, revenue-generating product to Pragmatic Play Sports and their clients.” He added that the deal cements Data.Bet’s “strategy of delivering modular, scalable integrations to global leading partners,” making clear that this is as much about global reach as it is about short-term gains.

Why modular solutions matter

For Pragmatic Play Sports, one of the biggest selling points is Data.Bet’s approach to modular solutions and official data. In an industry where uptime and integrity are everything, this combination is gold.

Gareth Crook, senior vice president at Pragmatic Play Sports and a Gaming Intelligence Hot 50 of 2025 honouree, commented: “We’re delighted to expand our new esports product in conjunction with Data.Bet. This partnership delivers a complete esports solution powered by official data, giving operators reliable pricing and extensive event and market uptime.”

Crook added that the partnership is more than just data feeds. Pragmatic Play will also back operators with managed services like trading and risk management, creating what he called a “truly dynamic new product” to sit alongside its existing sportsbook offering.

And in today’s climate, that reliability matters. With regulators sharpening their focus on compliance and integrity in esports, official data has become a must-have. It reassures customers, protects operators, and avoids the messy pitfalls that have tripped up less robust providers in the past.

Esports betting’s next growth spurt

There is no denying it, esports betting is now one of the hottest growth areas in global gambling. Pragmatic Play’s alliance with Data.Bet is a clear sign that big players see competitive gaming as a key driver for the future.

Younger audiences are flocking to live esports wagering, and operators are under pressure to offer the kind of flexible, engaging platforms that can keep pace with ever-changing titles and formats. That is where partnerships like this come in.

Gareth Crook summed it up neatly: “Esports is one of the fastest-growing global betting verticals, and this launch reinforces our commitment to an official-data approach.” Both Pragmatic Play Sports and Data.Bet are betting on growth, reliability and innovation to carry them forward, and with modular integrations and official market feeds fast becoming the industry standard, this deal demonstrates how they are positioning themselves to capture a share of the esports betting boom.
