Shareholder vote

There is no withholding tax that is applicable to this distribution, and the company has verified that there are no listed warrants or convertible securities in issue that will affect this calculation and distribution of this payment.

The announcement was made in accordance with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited disclosure requirements, reflecting the company’s obligations as a listed entity on the exchange.

Board confirms declaration

The dividend declaration was confirmed by the company’s board, which includes executive directors Dr. Jay Chun, who serves as chairman and managing director and also as alternate director to Mr. Shan Shiyong, and Mr. Shan Shiyong himself. Independent non-executive directors Mr. Li John Zongyang, Ms. Tang Kiu Sam Alice, and Dr. Liu Ka Ying Rebecca are also named in the announcement.

Dr. Chun has been the central figure in Paradise Entertainment’s strategic direction across its gaming technology and systems operations, including its licensed electronic gaming machine business in Macau.

Industry context

Paradise Entertainment is a part of the gaming supply chain in Macau. It offers casino management solutions, electronic gaming machine services, and so forth. Its revenue stream is closely related to the performance of the gaming industry in Macau. This industry has been maintaining its recovery trend since 2024 and is continuing in 2025.

For investors and market watchers concerned about the health of Macau-listed companies, the announcement of this kind of dividend is considered a direct measure of the available cash flow as well as the confidence in the underlying business. A consistent dividend, even if it is small on a per-share basis, is seen as a sign that the business is generating enough returns to pay the dividend as well as continue investing in gaming systems and technologies.

The HKD 0.025 ($0.003) per share figure is consistent with the company’s established approach to shareholder returns and reflects a stable operating environment rather than a period of aggressive capital expenditure or financial stress.

Compliance and listing obligations

In accordance with listing rules of HKEX, companies are required to make public announcements regarding dividend payments, dates, and conditions. Paradise Entertainment’s announcement meets all of these conditions in full, with all dates confirmed and no outstanding conditions except for the May shareholder vote.

The lack of any withholding tax liability makes distribution easier for the company’s shareholder group and also removes one step in complexity that is usually associated with international equity holding structures. The AGM is due to take place on 21 May 2026, and the payment is expected within five weeks thereafter. This is a standard payment schedule for a Hong Kong-listed operator of this size. Assuming no issues are raised at the AGM, the payment is expected to take place in line with this schedule.
